Snapinator

“Looks like this is your stop! Hope you have a great adventure in your new home, round and round!” the bus driver snickered, the flames in their jack-o-lantern eyes dancing with mirth as their passenger startled out of his doze. “Whuh? Already?” PJ slurred, gathering his suitcases and blanket before stumbling to the front of the bus. The cold weather always slowed him down, but stepping out into the chill February air, the turtle felt oddly alert. Well, it was not really surprising, he decided as the bus pulled away, its wheels spinning through snow and slush. Round and round indeed. It was fitting in fact, given that this town was to be his new home. After years of traveling abroad, the wandering artist was finally ready to settle down. Maybe relax for a change. Granted Lilypad did not have the best reputation when it came to relaxing. Many called it cursed, though PJ was not sure how much of what he heard he believed. Besides, the town was safe enough that his old friend Peri had
